University of Minnesota Requires Boosters for All Students! Each Booster is equal to $4043 dollars of NIH grant money the University Receives!
Is there a connection?
A snippet from a letter from Joan Gabel President of the University of Minnesota sent to faculty and students:
Now more than ever, with the rapid spread of the Omicron variant threatening to overwhelm our healthcare system, we must do our part to protect ourselves, our community, and our state by anchoring into the steps we know are successful in fighting the pandemic. To this end, we ask for your continued leadership in fighting this pandemic by scheduling and receiving the COVID-19 booster as soon as you are eligible. We know that booster shots significantly increase your immunity against COVID-19 and they can help keep your case mild if you experience a breakthrough case – and, We will ask all members of our community to submit proof of your booster shot soon.
The evidence from South Africa and Denmark suggest that the Omicron variant is little more than the common cold. In fact, the hospitalization rates are way down. In effect, the pandemic is soon over. Then why would Joan subject young and healthy people to a booster shot of an untested drug when it was completely unnecessary? Stumped? Let me give you the answer — Two hundred and seventy-four million, nine hundred and fifty-nine thousand, and seven hundred and thirteen dollars (274,959,713. 00).
That is the total amount of grant money the university receives from NIH. To keep that money flowing she is willing to sacrifice the health of students by forcing them to take a virtually useless drug for more cash. At the five campuses that comprise the university system there are roughly 68,000 students. Let’s do some math – 274,959,713 / 68,0000 = 4043! Now that’s a tidy sum – each booster equals $4043 dollars of NIH grant money. Moreover, because of her enthusiastic support for the vaccines I am going to predict that in the next fiscal year those NIH grants will total over 300 million dollars. Joan used to teach courses in business ethics but as Cindy Lauper said, “Money changes everything.” Good work, Joan!!
